Vestibulectomy for provoked vulvodynia: Not just a last resort

Author and Disclosure Information

Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. Vulvodynia is a chronic vulvar pain condition that affects up to 16% of women in the general population, can have devastating effects on a woman’s psychosocial well-being, and can be difficult to treat. In this video, the authors highlight anatomical landmarks to consider when performing a vestibulectomy and outline tools and techniques for optimal tissue resection and clinical success.
