Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. Rollerball endometrial ablation is a resectoscopic technique to treat abnormal uterine bleeding. The technique is particularly useful with a uterine cavity size that exceeds the dimensions of ablation devices, when a uterine anomaly is present that may not permit effective ablation with other devices, and when there is intracavitary pathology that may not allow deployment of ablation devices. In this video, the authors demonstrate 1) the importance of the rollerball ablation technique and 2) how to perform an effective rollerball ablation.
