Complete pelvic peritonectomy

Author and Disclosure Information

Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. In this video, the authors demonstrate a systematic approach for performing complete pelvic peritonectomy for diagnosis and management of endometriosis. This technique allows for complete histologic evaluation to confirm or exclude a diagnosis of endometriosis. Considerations for performing this procedure include use of a uterine manipulator and temporary oophoropexy. Understanding pelvic anatomy and basic surgical principles allows for safe performance of complete pelvic peritonectomy.
